Compliance

We’ve cleaned sites across Bendigo and central Victoria since 2003, using our own employees rather than contractors or subcontractors. That model is the foundation of how we manage compliance: we know who is on your site, how they were trained, how they’re paid, and who supervises them.

Documentation is available on request for procurement, tender and onboarding processes.

Licensing and registration

  • Labour Hire Licence VICLHL10059, issued by the Victorian Labour Hire Authority
  • Registered with the Portable Long Service Authority, registration C340810
  • Department of Education Cleaning Panel Status #168
  • ABN 34 682 049 921

Insurance

We carry $30 million public liability insurance and full WorkCover cover for every employee.

Certificates of currency are available on request for procurement, tender and contract onboarding.

Screening and site access

Every staff member holds a National Police Check. Staff working at schools and early learning services hold a Working With Children Check.

Our cleaners are employed by us, so the people inducted to your site are the people who turn up to it. On industrial and secure sites we work within whatever contractor management system you use.

Health and safety

Every new starter is inducted in safe work practices before they begin, equipped with appropriate PPE, and trained for the environment they’ll be working in, whether that’s a school, a health service or an industrial site.

Our Department of Education Cleaning Panel Status involves formal assessment of staff training and occupational health and safety practices by a committee representing the Department, the industry association and the relevant unions.

WHS documentation is available where it’s needed for tender or onboarding purposes.

Pay and employment

We employ our cleaners directly. They’re paid correct award wages and entitlements through proper payroll, with PAYG withholding and superannuation. No cash in hand, and no subcontracting chain.

For government and institutional buyers, that means the people on your site are accounted for, and your contractor isn’t competing on the basis of underpayment.

Modern slavery

Cleaning is recognised as a higher-risk sector for modern slavery in Australia, largely because of subcontracting chains and cash-in-hand arrangements.

Our direct-employment model substantially reduces that risk. Every person cleaning your site is our employee, on our payroll, paid award wages. We continue to look at our own supply chain, where risk can also sit.

Environment and sustainability

Our environmental policy covers how we choose and handle chemicals.

  • Cleaning chemicals are selected to be non-hazardous and biodegradable wherever possible.
  • We buy from Bendigo-based manufacturers and suppliers, which cuts the transport involved in getting them here.
  • Empty bulk containers go back to the manufacturer to be cleaned and reused rather than thrown away. Smaller containers come back from client sites to us for the same reason.
  • Microfibre reduces or removes the need for chemicals altogether on non-porous surfaces.

Our high-pressure cleaning uses low-water-use methods, and green cleaning products are available on request across our services.

We were a finalist for Excellence in Sustainability at the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards.

Diversity and inclusion

We employ people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and abilities, including people with disability and people whose first language isn’t English. Our training and on-site systems are set up so instructions are clear however someone learns best.

We acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung People, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, and pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.

More about working with us.

Indigenous procurement and employment

We’re a corporate partner of the Kinaway Chamber of Commerce, Victoria’s Aboriginal chamber of commerce, supporting Aboriginal business growth and procurement across the state. We clean for an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation in Bendigo, and we’re working to bring more Aboriginal suppliers into our own operations.

We support the principles of the Indigenous Procurement Policy when tendering for government and institutional contracts.

Privacy

We collect only the personal information we need to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, and manage contracts and employment, and we handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
